Rio Tinto Alcan BC's Regional Economic Development’s objective is to support economic diversification in northwest British Columbia, by collaborating with other regional economic development interests, such as the KT Industrial Development Society and the Haisla Business Development Corporation.

We welcome advancing local programs and working with institutions to foster economic development, such as the Regional Economic Development Centre and the Kitimat Valley Institute for Industrial Education, Rio Tinto Alcan BC is actively promoting economic diversification in the Kitimat region.
